Many parameters influence the criteria and process of selecting a suitable healthy milk tooth for dental stem cell banking. Mothercell expert panel decides which tooth to be collected, the number of teeth required, and the tooth collection date in consultation with the family dentist of the child based on the following mandatory checks,

1. The ideal child age is between 5-11 years, However, the age criteria may vary depending on the availability of healthy milk teeth with a sufficient quantity of pulp.
2. One or two healthy milk teeth without any cavities will be considered for dental stem cell banking.
3. Missing tooth condition will be screened before finalizing the milk tooth for collection.
4. The identified milk tooth must have 1/3 root intact and 2/3 root must be resorbed.
5. Generally, girls have 6-9 months of early exfoliation patterns than boys. This point also will be considered while choosing the ideal milk tooth.
6. The child should not have any flu, fever, or any other ill-health conditions on the day of tooth collection.
7. The root levels of the corresponding permanent tooth also will be evaluated before collecting the tooth.
